Moving the panel to another machine

Release an unused installation and prepare your projects on the new server.

The limit applies to active machines

Installations are identified by a fingerprint created from the system identifier, host name and IP address. Renewing the lease every 12 hours does not take up another slot.

Prepare the move

Keep the project directories and current backups of their databases and volumes.
If you are at your installation limit, release the previous machine in the client panel.
Install the panel on the new server and activate the correct key.
Move the projects and restore the data in the new environments.
Start the projects from the panel, check that they work and point DNS to the new server.

When the previous machine is unavailable

You release an installation from your client account. It does not require a connection to the old server. Restoring projects, however, depends on the backups you have.
