Troubleshooting

Check the service, the license and the project, then prepare the details for a support request.

The panel does not respond

Start with the service status and the most recent messages:

systemctl status contextadmin
journalctl -u contextadmin -n 100 --no-pager

If the service is running, check the nginx configuration with nginx -t and its status with systemctl status nginx. Also verify the certificate and the address you are using.

License message

After a new installation, check that the key was entered on one line, without extra spaces. After a longer network outage, verify the HTTPS connection to the license server. After changing machines, check the installation limit and release the previous server.

The container is running, but the application does not respond

Open the project logs. Compare the port of the application process with the mapping shown by docker compose ps. The Up status confirms that the container is running, but not that the application works correctly.

The preview bypasses the password you set

Check whether the project was started from the panel. A manual docker compose up does not configure nginx to take over the port. If the application publishes its port directly on 0.0.0.0, the nginx password does not protect that entry point. Stop the project, start it in the panel and check access again.

Backup upload error

Check the free space on the target server, the SSH key and the host fingerprint. The panel does not delete old backups on the target; rotation has to be handled separately.

Reduced animations

With prefers-reduced-motion enabled, motion effects are reduced according to the system or browser setting. This is not a panel error.

Information for support

Provide the Contextadmin version, the distribution, a description of your recent actions and the relevant part of the logs. Remove keys, passwords and customer data from it. Requests concerning an active license are handled according to the scope of your plan.
